Women's novels are books which are focused on the life experiences of a woman character. It is different from women's writing which describes the literature which the author or promoter is a woman. There are various aspects that anyone who intends to write in this genre should take into consideration. The following are considerations on how to become a better womens fiction writer that one should consider.

First, acquaint with the type of novel you will be writing. There are various aspects that one can focus on while writing this kind of novel. This includes short literature, long, and basing them on different sub-genres. Short pieces of writing are written for magazines and online content and focus on specific genres. Long sections of literature contain a multiple layer of styles to make it interesting and long as well.

Define your protagonist. You need to understand and become intimate with your main characters as well as others involved in your novel to express them accordingly. Readers usually tend to understand the feelings, vulnerabilities, thoughts and other fine details related to the characters to maintain flow while reading. Express the protagonist with warmth to create an attachment between the main character and the reader.

Describe your setting well. There are different kinds of setting that you can use. This includes a medieval duration, a contemporary or a recent historical period. From that point, you can narrow down to an urban setting, suburb or a village setting depending on time. After that, zero down to a specific place such as an apartment, house mansion or a combination of different house settings. This will help in expressing the different habits of your character.

This includes characters such as supportive, competitive, the jealous type and many other characters. Also, describe a life-changing event that occurred to the protagonist leading to behavior change.

Strike a balance among different styles. You should use different styles such as humor, suspense, thrill, and sadness to make the novel quite exciting and engaging. You should find a balance on these styles to avoid concentrating on one making the whole novel dull. Even so, you can use suspense on a frequent basis to complete a topic or introduce a topic to lure the reader into reading more and more.

Express the feelings of your protagonist in different settings. You need to express the feelings of the main character if you have a female character. You can explain an unexpected behavior that crops up in the most unexpected setting such as a dinner, during a conversation or in a public gathering.

Look for an interesting ending. You can conclude a novel using different styles. This includes an implicit ending, long view ending, unresolved or a happy ending. You should prefer a happy ending which is widely considered by most readers especially if your plot is based on a true story or horror.
